Do you need Gauge Wheels?

This is a most frequently asked question, because many do not understand the advantage of using a tractor attachment with gauge wheels. Just like the name implies, the wheels actually gauge the depth or height of our landscape rake tines, which is very desired if you're trying to achieve a smooth, level grade on a driveway, freshly graded lawn, or mulch bed. Our heavy duty landscape rake gauge wheels are easily added or removed(four bolts), so, for instance, this convenience would be appreciated if you're working on a freshly logged parcel, want to clean up the debris first, and then want to follow it up with a fine "combing" or smoothing of the area. Some use it on beach areas, around ponds, or river bottoms, and wouldn't want to dig into the sand or soft surface, so you can keep the tines just above the surface. If you have an EA rake made before this redesign, bolting and welding the new mounting plates to your tine bar is required. If requested, we will include the bolts and mounting plates. This illustration shows how it installs.
